A True Story

In the year 2000 we lived in Costa Del Sol, it was a townhouse condominium located in Miami, Florida.

Like many similar condominiums, our basic cable TV is provided by the condo association.

If we want to see any of our favorite television programs like “Home and Garden”, we must pay our provider Comcast for an additional package of channels.

One day, we received a call from Comcast, they said we had been receiving the Playboy Channel for quite a while and we hadn’t been paying for it.

My wife had quite an interesting conversation with them.

She told them that they were mistaken, we didn’t have the Playboy channel, and we have never had the Playboy channel, nor did we want the Playboy Channel, and we certainly are not going to pay them for the Playboy channel because we never had it.

The conversation ended with Comcast threatening to send someone over to disconnect us from the Playboy channel.

After that conversation my wife and I both had quite a laugh about it, especially about Comcast threatening to disconnect us from the Playboy channel which we never had or wanted.

The following week, we had our grandson Alex staying with us.

Alex was seven years old, and he was sleeping in our guest bedroom.

We felt that he must have really liked our guest bedroom because he was always in there and almost never came out.

After Alex left, my wife went into the guest bedroom to change the linens.

She turned on the TV, and you guessed it, it was the Playboy channel.

When Comcast sent their repair man over to supposedly disconnect us from the Playboy channel. He had accidentally connected us to it.
